Can I edit my Poll after it's launched?

Editing rules

  • You can edit a Poll’s data model only before the first response to any of the poll's surveys arrives; once a response exists, the model locks.
  • You can freely edit Survey descriptions (internal fields for you), peer invitations, and add slots while a Survey is active. You can also edit the survey message that your invited respondents see on the survey page, and you can edit the Results message that actual respondents see when results become available (a thank you message, or anything else you want to communicate to folks who actually contributed data)
  • If a Poll already has at least one Survey with a response and you need different questions, create a new Poll — changing models breaks comparability.

Why this restriction exists

Locking the model after any of the surveys of that poll gets its first response ensures that every datapoint was collected under identical conditions. Consistency makes your results analytically sound.
